IDSF Adjudicators Congress
Each year, in various countries around the world, current and future adjudicators – professional and amateur – are able to attend a Congress to hear lectures on various aspects of DanceSport judging. Each attendee is registered at the Education Department of the IDSF, and their attendance is noted. Existing judges are required to attend one Congress every two years in order to be able to retain their IDSF license. For the past several years USA Dance has organized a Congress each year at the Embassy Ball in Irvine, California with the most recent event being held September 3, 2009.
During this period we have been extremely grateful for the cooperation of the organizers of the Embassy Championships for the free use of their facilities, and also to the many eminent professional lecturers from around the world who have generously volunteered their time and talents for this project. 2009 was no different with the lecturers being famous names indeed - Barbara Nagode Ambroz, Hazel Fletcher, Greg Smith and our own John Kimmins.
