Greater Memphis Chapter #2012
Sylvia Rose is from District 8, Greater Memphis Chapter 2012, and has been selected as the USA Dance National Volunteer of the Year.
Sylvia is the driving force of the Greater Memphis Chapter and is the Director of Group Classes for the local citizens offering affordable group classes and securing the instructors. During this past year these classes have instructed approximately 1,000 students.
As a dedicated member she is committed to recruiting new members and is directly responsible for 51% of the new members this past year.
In addition, she has been the Chairman of the Annual Charity Dance Event for the Le Bonheur Hospital, securing major sponsors and creating the program of events for this successful fundraiser. But, she doesn’t stop there; she is responsible for creating flyers for the dance events, writing a section in the monthly newsletter and posting chapter activities to Face Book.
We congratulate Sylvia on furthering the goals of USA Dance, supporting and growing the Greater Memphis Chapter and enhancing the image of USA Dance in her community. The Board Members of Chapter #2012 feel she is the epitome of devotion and a dedicated volunteer.
