Candidate for DanceSport Delegate

Being a part of the USA Dance federation really brightened my future. Before committing solely to this federation, I wasn’t sure how deeply I wanted to pursue dance. However, I was inspired by the beautiful competitions, fierce competitors, and wonderful environment in all. That’s why, I want to give back and be a part of the team that inspired me, to inspire and help the future generations of dancers. More so, I’m a very dedicated and hardworking candidate. During my high school years, I was a full-time student, performed extracurricular activities such as musicals afterschool, choreographed for school musicals and shows, performed twice on a Broadway stage, teaching at a dance studio, all while traveling to World Championships and international competitions representing USA. Now, I’m a full-time student at Hunter college, teaching at a dance studio, practicing almost every day, and still traveling to international competitions and World Championships to represent USA. No matter how much I do in my everyday life, I am determined and dedicated to get the position as a DanceSport Delegate. Even though I’m a young candidate, I have a creative and passionate mind that can change a lot for the better for USA Dance.

As a current competitor, I have been able to identify and observe the competitions I have participated in as well as the other competitors, with a fresh set of eyes. With the opportunity of becoming a DanceSport Delegate, I would love to collaborate and share my visions that I have to only better the federation and work with the wonderful team that I know will teach me so much. One thing I learned from my experiences as a dancer is that USA Dance is all about educating the dancers and giving them the opportunities, they work hard for and deserve. If it wasn’t for this federation, I wouldn’t have the morals as a dancer that I do now. With this being mentioned, I want to continue to express my morals and educate other dancers.
