WDSF ID Card
The WDSF has moved to a new e-Card system for Amateur Athletes. Follow this link to the website: E-card site
With this e-Card:
BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR YOUR E-CARD
When filling in the e-Card online application, you will be asked to upload a few supporting documents. Please make sure you have them ready. Digitally!
Download the WDSF e-Card declaration, fill in all the fields and sign it at the bottom of the page. Scan it or take a picture of it.
If you are not of legal age please make sure your parent or legal guardian also signs the Declaration in the designated area.
Proof of identity
Scan or take a picture of a document which proves your identity. It has to show your name, your picture, your nationality and your date of birth.
This can be a passport, a national identity card or another document which you can use to legally identify yourself as per the above.
Prepare a picture of yourself. Here are some examples. The first picture is an example of a correct picture. A note about the picture – you must have a high resolution picture in order for this to be accepted by the WDSF. Note the light background and the fact that this must be a headshot.
PAYMENT OF THE E-CARD FEE
Once you have completed the form you will be asked to pay the e-Card fee. This is done through a secure payment website. Please make sure you have your credit card ready.
The (non-refundable) fees are:
IMPORTANT!!! Your card will not be activated until it is approved by the DanceSport Council. Once you complete the application, please email email@example.com to obtain approval of your application.
Once your ID card is approved by the DanceSport Council, it will need to be approved by the WDSF.
In addition, you cannot dance a WDSF event until you and you partner have been linked in the WDSF database. Both you and your partner need to have an active ID card in order to be linked as a couple. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, your partner’s full name and your MIN numbers.
Keep in mind that this process may take several days, so plan ahead. Do not start the process the week before you plan to dance a WDSF event.
Athletes who already have a valid plastic WDSF ID-Card do not have to apply for a digital WDSF e-Card. The WDSF will send all existing and active WDSF athletes instructions on how they can convert to the new WDSF e-Card.
