USA Dance and your representatives to the Ballroom DanceSport Council

The Ballroom DanceSport Council is the managing council for the competitive DanceSport - Ballroom Division of USA Dance. The Chair of the Council is the Vice President for DanceSport-Ballroom Division. There are several representatives of different athlete and professional membership categories involved on the Ballroom DanceSport Council.

Ballroom DanceSport Delegates

Each Delegate must be an Elite Championship Athlete as defined by our bylaws and in compliance with the Ted Stevens Act. The Ballroom DanceSport Delegates are the athlete's official representatives to the national USA Dance administration and they are members of the Ballroom DanceSport Council, Executive Committee, and the Board of Directors of USA Dance as required by the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act. Ballroom DanceSport Council Committees

USA Dance has the responsibility to operate the National DanceSport Program in the United States for Ballroom style of dance. For this purpose, there are a number of committees created to focus on specific aspects of Ballroom DanceSport Division programs. The Chairs of these committees are voting members of the governing Ballroom DanceSport Council.
