Delaware - On January 2nd, USA Dance President Ken Richards proposed, and the USA Dance Board of Directors approved the following appointments to National Director and Committee Chair level positions for the 2021 year: Margot Garnick (New York), Membership Director Patti Panebianco (New York), Collegiate Network Director Phil Sisk (Virginia), Chapter Relations Director Dean Abraham (Florida), Youth K12 Outreach Committee Chair Ruslan Wilder (New Jersey), Marketing & Communication Committee Chair The Board of Directors are excited to be working with these long time, dedicated members of USA Dance as they step into these critical leadership roles and dedicate their time toward rebuilding our organization over the next 12 months. During the same meeting, the Board approved the proposed structure for the Professional Dance Council, as presented by Professional Vice President Vladimir Karpov. This new structure will build off the success of the previous council and expand to include areas covered under the Professional Division of the World DanceSport Federation including professional athlete development and Pro-Am competition opportunities. In addition to approving the structure, the Board ratified the following initial appointments to the new PDC for 2021: Ann Durocher (Louisiana), Chair of the Organizers Committee Donovan Kirrane (Massachusetts), Chair of the Professional Athletes Committee Fiorenza Todaro (Alabama), Examinations Director & Professional Council Secretary Irina Trebunskaya (California), Chair of the Officials Committee USA Dance continues to seek volunteers for various committees.
