Resignation of National Treasurer

The Board of Directors regretfully announces the resignation of Spencer Chang as Treasurer of USA Dance, Inc.

Due to the demands of his professional business, and to allow more time to enjoy his dancing, Spencer Chang has resigned his position as USA Dance Treasurer. We thank Spencer for his work over the better part of 2 years providing important guidance and oversight as we transferred from an employee model to a management company model. Spencer remains committed to help transitioning the role to the new Treasurer and assisting the Board of Directors.

Consequently, USA Dance is now looking for a volunteer to fill the position of Treasurer for the remainder of his term, which ends December 31, 2022. This individual will be a voting member of the USA Dance Executive Committee and Board of Directors as well as Chair the Audit, Budget, and Finance Committee.

The position of Treasurer is a volunteer position with the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining corporate financial documents
  • Attending and managing the financial responsibilities of USA Dance, Inc.
  • Responsible for the processes and dissemination of financial information in the Executive Committee and Board of Director meetings in accordance with requirements of the Bylaws and Policies of USA Dance
  • Keeping all financial records up to date, overseeing the payment of all invoices, etc.

The Treasurer also provides information and support to the various committees, teams and projects as required by the President or Senior Vice President to integrate the financial information within the organization.
