At a time when a growing number of children are obese and schools are dealing with truancy, bullying and other behavioral problems, providing a healthy physical outlet for children and young people is more important than ever. We at USA Dance believe that a ballroom dance program in your local school may be the key to guiding students toward a happier and healthier life style.
More and more elementary, middle and high schools are sponsoring ballroom dancing clubs. As these students progress through their education they have an opportunity to continue ballroom dancing even through their college years. USA Dance has seen a rise in the number of college competitive teams and social ballroom dancing events over recent years.

USA Dance embarks upon an exciting marketing partnership between the newly formed K-12 Committee and Dancing Classrooms (DC). The two organizations will work together to promote DC’s online, hybrid, and socially distant dance residencies for schools and community-based organizations by sharing information on the USA Dance website and through communications with our chapters. DC will include information about USA Dance’s programs on its website as well, so that students and families have access to the vast resources and activities hosted by our chapters.
