Coaching & Training Experience 1981 to present
Have coached single adults and amateur couples in social and competitive dancing.
The competitive coaching has included American Smooth & Rhythm as well as
International Standard & Latin.
Many of these couples receiving USA Dance Senior National Titles.
Currently coaching amateur couples in American Smooth, Rhythm, International Standard & Latin
Currently coaching and training Pro/Am couples and teachers. Providing choreography and technique for closed medalist competitions.
Have trained teachers for American Smooth & Rhythm teaching exams.
Adjudicating Experience 1992 to present
Have judged one day events, NDCA competitions, USA Dance NQEs, USA Dance National Championships, WDSF Open Championships as well as the 2016 WDSFWorld Senior I Latin Championships in Bilboa, Spain.
Competition Organization Experience. 2015 to present
Serve as Co-Organizer, Manager & Registrar of Christmas in Dixie Ballroom Challenge. Duties include advertising the event, hiring officials and support personnel, scheduling, heating, program design, meal plans, awards, dance camp organization and proudly have operated within budget with a profitable outcome every year.
Volunteer Positions 2012 to present
Have held the office of Treasurer and National Committee member of the USISTD.
National Committee duties include daily society business as well as planning and hosting
educational congresses. Treasurer duties include managing the bank accounts,
PayPal, Quickbooks, account filings as well as working closely with the Examination Department,
Membership Services and Online Store.
Have served on the newly formed Professional Council of USA Dance since it’s inception as Examinations Director.
- Duties have included assisting with making policy for the Professional Division, designing documents
- and procedures needed for the Examinations Department as well as the Adjudicator Application process.
Have assisted with organizing two WDSF Adjudicators Congresses, assisted adjudicators with theWDSF Adjudicator Application process, and WDSF Technical Examinations.
- My duties also included vetting adjudicators for all NQE’s to ensure certification, SafeSport and membership requirements.
