Chapter Dances

The USA Dance Music City Chapter ##2064 has for decades held social dances the third Saturday of each month. We are currently on hiatus in support of social ballroom dances organized by independent ballroom studios in our area.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support the national mission of USA Dance by improving the quality and the quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States.

About Us

For those who may be new to USA Dance, we are a non-profit national organization that encourages self-expression through ballroom dancing, socially as well as competitively. We believe - and numerous studies show - that ballroom dancing contributes to mental and physical well-being. In short, it's good for your body, heart, mind and spirit!

USA Dance chapters create dance opportunities for local citizens by organizing affordable social dances, dance lessons and workshops. Chapter members often present dance education and live demonstrations, while striving to educate the public regarding the health and social benefits of ballroom dancing. The goal of each chapter is to serve the national mission on a grassroots level, as a leader and a motivator for ballroom dance activities in the community, colleges and schools.

USA Dance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit national organization, approved by the Internal Revenue Service, and is authorized to solicit and receive donations from the public to support its promotional and educational programs. USA Dance is committed to improving the quantity and quality of ballroom dance in the United States. USA Dance sanctions competitions and participants must be a member of USA Dance to compete. USA Dance volunteers work, educate the public about the physical, mental and social benefits of dance.

How You Can Help

Our chapter, as with any membership organization, needs member support. The important thing is to attend as many functions as you can and and let your board members know if these functions meet your expectations.

Volunteer to help during functions; this could be welcoming arrivals at the door, setting up refreshments, making newcomers feel welcome. Help with publicity, planning events, newsletter, set-up and clean-up after our dances but first and foremost, GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR at every opportunity!

Introduce your friends and acquaintances to ballroom dancing. Invite them to chapter activities and encourage them to become members of USA Dance Chapter 2064.
