Attention!!! USA Dance Seeking New Board Members and Volunteers!

Join us in Promoting the Joys of Dance! 

The following will be expected of board members of the Nor-Cal USA Dance Chapter #4004: 

• Serves for a 2-year term, Time Commitment is 3-20 hr/month.

• Must be a USA Dance member in good standing

• Must be active in chapter activities &.attend monthly board meetings

• Will serve as officer or chair of standing committees. 

• Get free access to all chapter events and a vote on the board

President:

• Presides Over All Chapter Board Meetings (In-Person or Online)

• Sees that orders and resolutions carried out

• Ex Officio member of all Chapter committees

• Granted authorities and Responsibilities assigned by the board

Vice-President:

• Acts in Place and stead of President in the president's absence

• Succeed the president in the event of a vacancy

• Granted authorities and Responsibilities assigned by the board

Treasurer:

• Collecting and depositing chapter monies

• Sign chapter checks, drafts and notes

• Maintain accurate financial records and present financial statements at board meetings

• Fulfill financial reporting requirements for USA Dance

Secretary:

• Keep Minutes of all board meetings

• Record all votes and actions taken between meetings

• Distribute minutes to board members at next meeting

• Correspond with other individuals or organizations on behalf of chapter

Social Dance & Event Coordinator:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute social dance and community events

• Recruit and coordinate volunteers for chapter events

• Speak as a representative for the social dance community

• Create opportunities to promote social dancing in the Nor-Cal Chapter

Marketing & Communications Coordinator:

• Maintain Chapter website. Must understand creation and maintenance.

• Update a regular newsletter and distribute through email, social media, and the website

• Maintain consistent content for the chapter for social media, flyers and other marketing projects

Dancesport Athlete Representative:

• Speak on behalf of competitors and competitive dancesport in the area at meetings. 

• Will teach and perform at events. 

• Promote chapter activities to the public

Collegiate Network Coordinator

• Keep contact with representatives with local collegiate teams and organize meetings with them

• Organize programs & events that will benefit collegiate communities and their outreach

• Reach out to local colleges about starting or supporting their teams
