About Us
Fort Wayne Dancesport chapter #2046 of USA Dance, Inc serves the greater Fort Wayne, Indiana area. It was founded in February, 1997 and hosted its first chapter dance in April, 1997.
The mission of USA Dance is to improve the quality and the quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States. In addition our Chapter's mission is to provide everyone a chance to find happiness through a lifetime of Dancing!
Fort Wayne Dancesport hosts monthly social dances, currently on the fourth Saturday of each month, at the ballroom of the Walb Memorial Union building on the campus of Fort Wayne Purdue University. Beginning in 2008, Fort Wayne Dancesport hosted the annual USA Dance Fort Wayne Dancesport Championships amateur ballroom dance competition (sanctioned by USA Dance) and a Special Ballroom Competition. Both events occurred on the same weekend in July. The 2008 event was the first ballroom dance competition in the history of Special Ballroom Competition.
As required by USA Dance bylaws, Fort Wayne Dancesport is governed by a board of directors elected by chapter members and by officers elected by the board of directors. Current Board Members
