Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am writing to ask for your election as Vice President for Professional Dance.

As an active WDSF member of 23 years, I was heartened by USA Dance for welcoming me when I relocated from Russia five years ago. During this time, you have told me about your mission, operating principals, rules and chapters. You have also shared your goals, aspirations and challenges. As such, I have developed a fuller understanding of our USA Dance community.

If elected as Vice President, I will work to enable ‘Professional Dance’ to continue thriving. There are many existing successes that I am keen to continue forward. However, like others, I have had many ideas over years that would improve ‘Professional Dance’ and thereby stimulate more participation in ways that are both economically viable and enriching for USA Dance. If given the proper authority to implement these, I would like to:

• Attract more professional dancers to participate in USA Dance Inc event
• Encourage more international adjudicators to support USA Dance with their involvement
• Foster more collaboration with WDSF international counterparts; sharing of ideas, best practices and promotional channels
• Re-energize more learning and development opportunities for dancers, instructors and adjudicators
• Enhance the quality of competition, career diversity and longevity.

As Vice President for Professional Dance, I will use what I have learned in 23 years to improve and lay the groundwork for the next decade and beyond. I will be guided by our shared mission and to move forward collaboratively. I will leverage from my strong relationships, strategic expertise and tactical planning abilities to advance ‘Professional Dance’. Most importantly, I am motivated to give back to DanceSport and feel that this is a natural progression towards to shaping a well-rounded career.
