Fellow dancers,
Our March 22 Tea Dance was cancelled due to the ongoing threat posed by the COVID-19 virus. Last week our Board of Directors decided that we should continue to follow the recommendations of our health professionals and governmental leaders by “sheltering in place”. The threat posed by this virus remains strong and is certainly spreading. Because of this the Board voted to cancel both of our April 2020 dances.
We all want to get back on the dance floor and to visit with our friends who attend the USA Dances. We also have to remain aware of our primary responsibility which is for the health and well-being of ourselves, our loved ones, and our community. Our Board will continue to monitor this situation and I can assure you that when the danger from this virus has subsided our director of information will email this information to all members. Please continue to visit our chapter’s website for updates on the impact of this pandemic on our operations.
During this period of restricted social interactions please lift your mood my listening to your favorite dance tunes, practice often and get ready to hit the dance floor once the virus threat has subsided.
Thank you,
Steve Gunn
